The next session of the New-Licensee Mentoring Program is scheduled to run from April 20 to September 20, 2026.

The program is designed to improve competence and ethical practice through hands-on experience and is mandatory for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) who received their Letter of Authority on or after July 1, 2022.

Make a difference by becoming a mentor

Mentors play a vital role in the program by guiding new licensees through hands-on practice and contributing to maintaining standards across the profession. Mentors also benefit from enhanced leadership skills, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and a stipend.

The College has invited eligible RCICs to apply as mentors for the upcoming session. Invited licensees are encouraged to apply online before 12 PM ET on February 9, 2026.

Mentee registration to meet the conditions of their licence

In the coming weeks, RCICs required to join the program as mentees will receive an email with registration instructions. Failure to register and complete the mandatory program may result in the suspension or revocation of licence.
