How do I become an RCIC?

If you want to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Complete the Graduate Diploma Program (Queen’s University Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law or the D.E.S.S. en réglementation canadienne et québécoise de l’immigration offered in French by the University of Montréal);
• Successfully pass the College’s RCIC Entry-to-Practice Exam (EPE); and
• Follow the licensing process to obtain your licence.

Once you are licensed, you must meet your requirements and complete the Ongoing Education for RCICs, including the New-Licensee Mentoring Program.

Information for IPP Graduates

IPPs are no longer accredited by the College.

IPP graduates who still want to become an RCIC must follow the standard process described on this web page.
