The new College Act Regulations were published in the Canada Gazette on May 6, 2026.
The Regulations will come into effect on July 15, 2026, and support the College’s regulatory and public protection mandate.
A Compensation Fund is being set up and the College has launched a new webpage providing information on the Fund, which will require future finalization of by-laws and other supporting legal frameworks to ensure that it is structured in a way that is fair, consistent and legally sound.
The College welcomes continued collaboration with our government partners and will continue to regulate in the public interest by setting standards of competency, enforcing administrative requirements, creating public awareness and addressing complaints.
