The new College Act Regulations published on May 6, 2026, in the Canada Gazette have come into effect as of July 15, 2026.
The Regulations have been in development since the College’s continuance from the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) in 2021. This is an important milestone in support of the College’s regulatory and public protection mandate.
New Regulations impact the way the profession is regulated. Licensees should familiarize themselves with the changes by visiting the College’s By-Laws, Regulations and Policies webpage to learn more.
The College has also launched a Compensation Fund webpage to provide information on the new Fund, which will require future finalization of By-Laws and other supporting legal frameworks in addition to the Regulations.
